A homeowner does not want squirrels nesting in their attic. Squirrels chew through walls roofs siding and will even nest in garages and basements. Squirrels can do a lot of damage to a home. Squirrels like to chew; in fact squirrels seem to constantly be chewing. Squirrels chew a path from one end of the attic to the other. Homeowners often find that squirrels have holes chewed through on three side of their house.
The problem with chewing is that the squirrels don't care what they are chewing. When they are building their pathways and nests in your attic, for example, if a squirrel comes across an electrical wire they chew straight through it knocking out power and causing a fire hazard. Squirrels can also chew through support beams compromising the home's structural integrity.
Squirrels also have a habit of crawling down chimney flues on the rooftop where they either end up stuck in the fireplace or slide down into the furnace box. Now trapped the squirrel frantically runs around the basement chewing at window ceils causing extensive damage to window trim while trying to get out. Sometimes they even make it to the upper living quarters where they can cause some serious damage.
Protect your home from squirrels. If you notice squirrels on your roof top or hear noises in the walls, ceiling or up in the attic call CWC at 952-212-0843 to discuss your options for trapping and removing the pest animals.
